How do characters change or evolve throughout the course of the story? What events trigger such changes? Remember to include the name of your book and your characters.


In my book , They Never Came Back, the characters Cathy and Murielle evolve through the story by at first Cathy is trying to keep the events for five years ago form coming back to her memory and Murielle is mad at her parents for leaving her behind when the fled the country five years ago. The events that trigger Cathy to remember the events from five years ago are when one of the kids at summer school mistakes her for his cousin, Murielle, who disappeared five years ago, this mistake of identity causes her carefully hidden secret to start to unravel and she realizes that she needs to stop hiding and just be herself. The events that trigger Murielle to change is when the FBI try to get her parents out of hiding so they can arrest them, and she realizes that her parents really do love her and that her parents love being free more then her so, she has to get over that and just be glad for the people that she already has that love her.

If you could be any character from your book, who would you be and why? Give me at least one specific example as to why you would choose to be this character.


If I could be any character from my book, Gone, I would want to be Janie. I would want to be Janie because she independent and determined. Also, I want to be her because even though it would be scary to get sucked into other peoples dreams and eventually go blind and lose the loss of my hands I think it would cool to see what other people dream about. I also would want to be her because she has Cabel and he sticks with her through everything and I think that's what true love really is about, even though people have problems and their flaws someone who truly loves you looks past them and stays with you through what ever and that's what Janie and Cabel have. I want Jaine most because she knows what her future holds for her and will always have people who are looking out for her and she will never be alone.
